Set over three floors, Greenbank Cottage features an open-plan living, dining and kitchen area on the ground floor. Upstairs, you’ll find two comfortable double bedrooms and a family bedroom on the first floor, with a further double bedroom on the top floor – ideal for couples, friends or families.

Location & Getting Here

Gifford sits in the heart of East Lothian – a peaceful base close to beaches, golf and
castles, yet within easy reach of the capital. By car, you’re ~35 minutes from Edinburgh.
Prefer the train? There are excellent rail links a short drive from the cottage.

Re-styling the Interior

When we first visited in summer 2021, we immediately saw the cottage’s potential – but
the interiors needed fresh energy. Our team brightened the space with modern furnishings, layered textiles and artwork for warmth and personality.

Living Area

A plain wooden table became an inviting centre for meals with family and friends.
Cushions and a statement centerpiece add colour and comfort.

Bedrooms

We kept the look simple and restful with white sheets and crisp pillowcases, then layered
vibrant throws and pillows for a touch of boutique style.
